Hi there!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I thought I’d share a couple of fun (and free) speech therapy ideas I have planned for the month of February.
Box of Chocolate Articulation Activity (free download)
I’m currently doing a healthy cleanse which includes no sugar (sigh). So although I can’t have any of these tempting chocolates, I can still dream about them and have some fun practicing articulation sounds. You can download a free cover (which fits the small chocolate heart boxes or use on its own) HERE.
Valentine Fish
This easy Valentine fish works great to address all kinds of goals (articulation words, antonyms/synonyms, rhyming words, vocabulary) and it is so easy to make. Just cut out hearts of different sizes, write words on the fins, and tape or glue together!
Feeling Hearts
We made these easy “Feeling” hearts in a social group. Students worked on “tone of voice” saying “Be my Valentine” using the different emotion words. It was fun hearing “Be my Valentine” being said in a grumpy tone of voice!
One Item Therapy-Candy Hearts
This resource (sold in my shop) contains a LOT of activities to address various goals using only candy hearts. If you don’t want to put a lot of time into thinking of Valentine’s Day activities, I did it for you with this resource! You can find it HERE.
I hope this gives you some fun ideas around Valentine’s Day! Remember, activities centered around a holiday are always a bonus, not a necessity. The most important thing is consistently working on and addressing your students’ needs!
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!
