Did you know that research has found that 65 percent of the general population are visual learners, meaning they need to see information in order to retain it? I know I am! When I’m sitting through IEP or evaluation meetings, it’s very hard for me to comprehend where a student is performing if I’m just listening to the information and it’s not visually in front of me.
Graphs and charts are especially helpful and parents and administrators benefit when they visualize exactly how a student is performing. But how do busy SLPs have the time to create easy-to-follow graphs and charts for every student?
That’s why I created this newest resource: Articulation Excel Data Charts
These charts easily and visually show student progress with excel spreadsheet graphs. And they make this process easy! Even if you’re not an excel guru (like my husband who helped me with this one), all you have to do is simply input data into the provided worksheets and the charts automatically populate to show progress!
This is a great way to display progress visually in meetings, to show parents, and to keep in student data binders.
In this resource you are able to assess student progress on:
- Position of Sounds. Students are scored based on the sound position (initial, medial, or final) in words.
- Length of Utterance. Students are scored on the word, phrase, sentence, and paragraph levels.
- Words over Time. Students are scored on sounds in words over multiple dates.
- *The /r/ Datasheet also contains a graph for postvocalic type of /r/ sound (ar, er, air, ear, or, ire, rl)
Once these worksheets are completed, the scores will automatically populate in the “Data Sheet” worksheet, making it easy to visually show parents, administrators, and educational teams! All you have to do is save the document as the student’s name and print it when ready! I’ve been placing one in each student binder.
Here’s a quick video demonstration!
Oh, and I almost forgot…this resource has no fancy fonts or anything you need to download elsewhere. Everything can be edited and customized to fit your needs!
Here is the link to the GROWING BUNDLE (meaning all the sounds are still being added and the earlier you buy it, the better deal you receive!)
If you’d like to try an individual sound out first, here are the links:
*Remember, if you try it and like it and want to buy the bundle, you can be refunded the price of the individual resource!
