Grammar Jeopardy Pack-No Fuss!

February 24, 2013

If you’re like me, by this time into the year, it’s crazy IEP season. This means I’m tired…My dog Toto Bear perfectly demonstrates what I feel like these days. (This was taken on the day we had new carpet installed in our house-obviously, he is thrilled!)

It gets worse. Last night I dreamt about a forgotten IEP. You know the type-when you wake up in a sweat and it takes 10 minutes of reassuring yourself it was just a dream, there really wasn’t a late IEP. Whew! It’s starting to get to me a little!
Anyways, the last thing I’m thinking about right now is cutting out more cards for therapy, laminating them and then cutting them out again.
That’s why I created this new Jeopardy Grammar Pack.
This unit is jam-packed with visuals,
quick-print worksheets,
and a 60 Question Jeopardy Grammar Game
With this super-simple game, you download a Read-Only PowerPoint and allow students to see it on your computer. Students choose which category and amount they want (the questions become harder as the amount increases). Once pressed, they are taken to a screen with a question:
Once they answer, you simply press the “Home” button to be taken back to the main screen. I keep score on a post-it note by my desk.
No cutting. No laminating. No fuss.
This unit is “spring-themed” because I usually review these skills the week before spring break.
I’d love to know what you think- Comment below if you like the idea of no-fuss materials, along with your email. I’ll send this Grammar Pack out to three lucky commenters!

*Update-I just experimented using it on my iPad-it works! Now you can play Jeopardy and practice grammar skills on your iPad!

Come as you are. Leave encouraged.

I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

LOVE this idea! I’ve had to replace the blade on my paper cutter twice in just three months. I’ll be graduating soon and don’t have a TON of materials so this would be fantastic for days when I’m short on time! Your materials always look so neat and put together. Thanks for the idea!! 🙂

Very cute! I have played Jeopardy using social skills and they loved it. I have been finding research and went to an inservice that talks about how we need to create fun, engaging and game-like activities for facilitating meaningful language development. This would be perfect!

As an instructor, I love to direct my students and graduate clinicians to blogs and TPT, but now, my youngest just decided to major in CDS and I would like to start a “materials mountain” for her (which I think could become a great party idea–have your guests buy TPT certs for the grad of honor.) sorry-deleted first post because I forgot the most important part–thank you for sharing your compassion, creativity, and love for the field.

This looks great! I can’t wait to get this. When I worked at a middle school, I created several jeopardy games for my students. I had to load the templates on a game cartridge and then we used a tv with clickers. They loved it. I like the idea of keeping it fun and simple by using it on an I Pad or laptop.

First day of year 11 for me!  This is one of my f First day of year 11 for me!
This is one of my favorite verses and such a timely message for my students AND me!
This year my husband and I made the decision to homeschool our first grader. I was NOT thinking I would ever be a "homeschool mama" and I'm still not sure how it will all get done with me working part-time but here I am, praying for strength, and patience, and energy, and discipline, and thinking, "perhaps this is the moment for which I have been created?" 🤗

So if this year is full of uncertainty for you as well, know that He’s ☝️got this and I'm praying for the both of us, that we would shine brightly, and make the most of EVERY moment. 💗
P.S. (Because I know I'll get comments, I work at a private christian school, so I'm totally allowed to put verses on my door!) 🙏🏻
