Social Group Curriculum (an Entire Year) and Giveaway!

Confession: I am soooo excited about this product I’m about to share with you! It’s sort of been my love-child for the last 3 months, although I’ve been using the lessons with my own students for the past 3 years. It’s an entire Social Group Curriculum for Middle and High School Students. This huge 70-page packet contains everything from starting your first social group to planning activities for 20 sessions (with all materials included).

I created this curriculum to address the much-needed skills our students require in order to function successfully in the world. It often saddens me when I see my students in academic classes that are way over their head but still don’t know how to fill out a job application. So…I started holding social groups for the last 3 years at my district. I quickly discovered that I needed a guided curriculum so that my target areas did not overlap. The social groups I create consist of 4-5 students (with at least 2 of these students being peer models), take place every other week and last around 30 minutes.

I am so excited! I came across this in Pinterest, and we are implementing Social Skills groups at my middle school as Tier II PBIS interventions. It’s so hard to find middle school appropriate materials on this topic. Thanks for all your hard work and effort!
