DATA.
I’ll admit it. I shiver when I hear that one little word. On top of therapy with our kiddos, attending meetings, consulting with teachers, writing reports, conducting evaluations, and staying up on the latest research, perhaps one of our biggest roles is collecting data. At least it is one that is most clearly in the spotlight. Administrators like to see it, parents like to see it and we like to see it. Collecting it in an organized, easy to read format, however, can be tough.
In Ohio, we are required to write goals over multiple sessions (or trials). So…my goals usually look like this: “____student will do such and such with 80% accuracy in 4 out of 5 trials.” Getting the number of trials was the hard part for me. So…to keep my sanity, (and document my students’ progress in meetings), I came up with this newest edition to my Common Core Family. I’m pretty sure you will fall in love….
This comprehensive binder has everything you need to easily collect data over several trials and sessions, whether for students on IEPs or with RtI. It quickly gathers baselines, progress, strengths and weaknesses over multiple sessions in the areas of Phonological Awareness, Grammar, Vocabulary, Language and Articulation.
Here is everything it includes topics for over at least 6 separate trials or sessions:
Letter Naming
Letter Sounds
Digraphs
CVC Words

Manipulate Sounds
Syllables

January 20, 2014 at 3:25 amAmazing! Your title is perfect, I wish I would have created this sooner…I have been working on my baseline binder since we found out the Ohio baseline and trials shift. I’m pretty sure I won’t be completing mine and will just be adding this to my wish list! Thank you for all your time put into this resource!
