Guess what? I made a new product! Actually, I just finished a product that has taken me months to create. I think you’re going to like it!
My new thinking model this year is “Shine, Nicole, Shine!” I want you to have this same model engraved in your thinking. Perhaps you already do and that makes me happy. 🙂
Often times though, I feel we sell ourselves short. I have never met a SLP that did not demonstrate and extremely hard-working mentality. We usually stay late, bring work home, and go above and beyond our everyday duties. However, when asked what we do, many school personnel cannot answer. This is a problem. We need to let our administrators know what we do. We need to be able to convey our responsibilities to our districts. We need to shine.
I created this product as an easy way to do that.
The absolute best part about this packet is that it is completely editable. You can make it fit your specific needs! It includes everything from multiple resume templates to an alternative teaching evaluation. I included my own personal portfolio for you to gather ideas and customize it to make it completely yours!
I am a firm believer that even if you aren’t currently job searching, you should still maintain an up-to-date resume and other professional documents. You don’t want to work 10 years and THEN have to recall all your experience and responsibilities. Just as we are called to document progress on our speech kiddos, we should be reflecting on our own personal progress and evaluating our changes as an SLP. We do transform, you know. I know I am not the same SLP that I started out as almost 5 years ago. The question we need to be constantly asking ourselves is: Do we like the SLP we’re turning out to be?
This product helps evaluate and document our skills and be able to showcase them for our administrators and other school personnel. If your district is looking for a way to fairly assess our skills, the evaluation provided in this packet assesses SLP duties and responsibilities, which are different than teachers. It includes a pre-conference form, SLP evaluation, Evaluator evaluation and post-conference form.
Other items included are:
*2 Binder covers with binder spine labels
*Teaching Philosophy template (with example)
*Sample Lesson Plan template
*2 Student Breakdowns
*Annual Report
*Resume template (in blue, purple and pink)
*Label template
And…everything comes both in color and black and white!
Okay, so I went waaay out of my comfort zone and made a video here demonstrating how to use this product. It’s so strange seeing yourself on a screen! Please excuse the squeals (Aislyn was making some noise in the background while I was recording). She was so patient with me as I made this video (thankfully!)
I just know you’re going to love this product! It’s currently on sale this week for 30% off. You can check it out in my TPT Store or my TN store.
(Psssst…. I might have a giveaway going on at my Facebook Page, so make sure to check it out!)
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

July 29, 2014 at 4:26 pmThank you for this product and video! (I was ready to purchase before the video, but the visual convinced me!) You are a great representative for our profession. I feel I can use this binder packet to advocate for SLPs in my school district.
BTW – this was the first time I felt compelled to make a comment.
