Last year on April 14th my life changed a little. Okay, a lot. Last week we celebrated Aislyn’s first birthday and I could not be happier.
I think she was pretty happy about it too.
Anyways, life this year has become a little more hectic. I have a list of products, blog posts and ideas I keep in my Erin Condren planner but have not even looked at, much less begun. Needless to say, I’m thankful for your patience this year. Despite the slow down, you have continued to support and encourage this little blog, as well as my family-I do love my readers! As a little thank you, I’m giving away a $50 Erin Condren gift certificate below. Perhaps it will keep your busy life a little more organized as well!
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

You put on the best party for such a special little gal!! Love it!
Aww thanks sweet friend! It was so much fun!
I have been busy substitute teaching, completing my third year (of four) of graduate school, and being a stay-at-home mom. My two kids have their own busy schedules of sports and activities. My calendar is my lifeline!
Thank you so much for doing this giveaway! Evaluating and diagnostic write-ups have kept me busy this year!
Well, my oldest son is getting married next month, so that’s been keeping me busy, and my youngest is finishing up his first year of college. Love, love your products!
Thank you! I bet you’re busy with those two huge events!
I absolutely love your products! I have a little guy with an upcoming first birthday, myself, but I sure couldn’t imagine keeping up with a blog, materials, along with work! Thanks for all you’ve given the slp community 🙂
Thank you so much for your sweet words! I receive so much for the SLP community-it doesn’t really feel like work lol! Congrats on your little boy’s birthday!
Thank you for the giveaway opportunity! Congratulations and I wish you all many more happy times together! I have been very busy with planning my wedding this year! 🙂
Best wishes for continued successes!
Love your blog! I wish my school had a speech teacher, but we don’t. We need a good one!
Thank you for the giveaway! I love your little blog 🙂 I have been very busy getting through my first year as a therapist with her CCC’s!
I’ve been kept very busy this year by working to establish some form of AAC for nearly all the students in the two ID classrooms I work in. Before I took this position, most of the students really had no means of effectively communicating their wants and needs.
Oh my, I sure hope your work appreciates all your work for our students-thank you!
What has kept me busy this year?–Well, a large caseload at my school, with many students on the Autism Spectrum, and planning therapy activities for them, progress testing them, and writing reports and IEPs. At home, I have a wonderful dog (sweet Sadie, a German Shepherd) that I love to walk and play with. My kids are older, so not so busy with their activities, but I still do all the laundry (I love my washer and dryer, I know it’s weird). AND, I’m taking a FANTASTIC Bible study class on Wednesday nights at my church. Took the overview class last fall, and just loved it, so I signed up to be a facilitator for the longer, more in-depth class, and my husband even started going to it with me, so we have good quality time together every week when we study and go to the class. Whew, no wonder I’m tired a lot!
Oh my, Judy- I know you are super busy! What’s the bible study you’re doing? It sounds fantastic!
Being a mom changes everything! Finding a balance can be challenging but you can do it!
Trying to move and preschool age outs keep me busy!
CFY in a public school system has kept me more than busy this year as well as celebrations with friends and family for engagements, marriages, babies, and my Dad’s 60th birthday!
Happy birthday little one – to her mama too 🙂
We are currently busy moving to a larger home – and work and a three year old.
My boys & trying to sell our home has kept me busy this year!
I LOVE your blog! I learn so much and in such a fun way!!! I’m currently in pursuit of my Master’s degree to become a SLP! I also know what you mean about being busy! My little guy turns ONE April 29th!!! I can’t believe how time flys! Really thank you for everything!
Thanks so much! Happy birthday to your little one-it flies!
Moving and starting a new job has kept me busy. Adjusting to the changes has taken longer than I expected.
New referrals and paperwork have kept me busy…but I always find time for family!
Hmm, this year has been crazy and I can’t pinpoint why. Truly. I am union co-president, I just became a regional PD facilitator, still commute 45 minutes each way to work, but most of that is nothing new. Maybe I’m just having a quarter-career crisis.
I started my CF this year and it has been such an incredible whirlwind. I am truly blessed to have ended up in such a supportive district, and my husband has been a wonderful cheerleader all along the way! Most people are excited to end the school year but I’m actually a little sad that it’ll be over soon because I have had such a great time learning the ropes as a “real SLP.” But, we’re also expecting our first baby this August so I’d be lying if I said I’m not a little excited about summer…
All of the paperwork and IEP meetings!
Thank you for all of the wonderful products you share! I made lots of my own creative therapy materials when I first started as a SLP 18 years ago. Now I have 3 kids and only buy products made by others! Love that you are celebrating all of the good stuff! Wishing you and yours all the best!
Love those pictures! Your family is beautiful!! Thanks for the giveaway!! Erin’s planners are gorgeous and I’ve been eyeing them for a while now! 🙂
Paperwork, meetings, and trying to establish a consistent method if communication for my non-verbal students.
Looks like an excellent 1st birthday party! Can definitely tell you are an SLP- so organized and crafty! Love the TPT products I’ve purchased from you- your room decor has also been an inspiration for my speech room! Love it ♡
What a cute celebration for your beautiful little girl! What has kept me busy this year? Getting married, new house, a new pup (who is stronger than me!), and starting my first school SLP job! Wow, is it summer yet? Your blog has given me great ideas to get started in the schools!
All the paperwork
I love this blog and all of your tpt materials. Keep it up! 🙂
I’ve kept myself busy with tpt shopping, testing and getting to know a pretty amazing cf.
Trying to balance (hahaha) kids, work, husband’s travel, classes, and trying to take care of me!
My kiddos! They are only 5 and 7 but are already busy with after school/daycare activities!
Happy birthday, Aislyn! What a sweetheart she is! 🙂
My little boy is about to turn 1 too! The year just flew by, I can’t even believe it. I don’t know how you keep up with all of your products and your blog in addition to working as an slp and a mom! You must be super woman 😉
My little one just turned ONE on Tuesday! So I am right there with you!!! 🙂 Such a fun but crazy time!!!
Prepping new apraxia materials has kept me busy this year!
Putting family first never needs an apology! I need to live by this a bit more! Congrats to you!
Such great party pictures! We all understand how busy family can be. No apology needed!
Working in my TpT store, starting a Facebook page for SpeechDreams and posting therapy ideas weekly to Instagram has kept me super busy this year!
What a beautiful party for a such a beautiful girl! Congratulations on being a mom, therapist and inspiration to so many!
Congratulations on your little girl’s big day! The days go by so quickly! My kiddos are much older, but I remember those days…. I can’t say it slows down as they grow up, I am still crazy busy driving them all over and attending games and performances, but it’s worth it! Enjoy your little one while she is still little!
Thank you so much-this year certainly has flown by! I’m trying to treasure every moment, as I’m sure you did!
Congratulations to Aislyn on her first birthday!! 🙂 Since this year was my CFY year, I was busy prepping materials and getting a nice selection of products from TPT in my speech room. I also starting selling on TPT too! 🙂
Thanks so much! Congrats on starting to sell on TPT-Heading to check out your store now!
Thank you for your wonderful products, posts and this giveaway! I’m busy with my one year old daughter too and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! Your daughter is beautiful!
Thank you so much! Daughters are wonderful 🙂
Where to start on what has kept me busy this year….hmmm, well, I went back to work full time after only working 2 days a week last year, my two little kids (just turned 4 and almost 2), and working on remodeling our house.
Your daughter is adorable and it looks like she had a super cute birthday party!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I totally understand and have been there with the remodeling! You will love it in the end though! Hopefully, summer will give you so time to rest!
My family and my business have kept me super busy this year!
Laminating and cutting out TPT materials has been keeping me busy. Thanks for sharing your creativity, even if it hasn’t been as frequent lately. I am glad that you are able to take the time to cherish your adorable daughter!
Unfortunately my job has kept me busy. I have a long drive to and from work everyday. Also, I had a lot of meetings this year. I think more than I have ever had. Hectic for sure!
Everything! Being a CF has a big (but amazing and fun) learning curve!
Thank you so much for my chance to win in this giveaway! I’ve always wanted something from this website, but never had the extra money to spend. Love seeing your posts and pictures!!
What’s kept me busy is testing. I cannot believe how many days were spent doing English as a second language, PARCC, ITBS, NCSC, MAP, etc, etc, etc, on top of my actual job! I sure hope the country figures out a better way because I don’t think it’s good for anyone!
One other thing…TPT! I spend so much time browsing and getting all kinds of ideas. I loved the SLP Must Have sales and watching when all my favorite bloggers had new products! Next year is gonna be awesome!
Oh my! You certainly have kept busy!
Maternity leave for 12 weeks of the school year, so trying to get caught up has kept me busy.
This year I started grad school and worked on growing my blog (Speechercize and Gluten Free). I also started a new relationship. It has been a good year.
She is such a little cutie! At this point in the year evals are killing me and keeping me busy! I have 5 different lists in different places going at any given time…
Thank you for the giveaway! This is my first year as an SLP, so I have been very busy with everything SLP-related!
Graduate school has kept me busy this year!
Material preparation has been keeping me busy!
Congratulations on the birthday of your little girl. Thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks for doing the give away! Paperwork, renovations and moving to a temporary location for work because of the construction have kept me busy!
Hmmm…. My CFY, KTIP (Kentucky Teacher Internship year), moving 4x, getting married….. Yep. That sums it up!
What a gorgeous party for an adorable girl! Thanks for sharing your sparkle with all of us!
April babies are the best!! Enjoy every minute with her!
What has kept me busy this year…teaching Kindergarten, being a mom to 2 lovely kids…both are in soccer and scouts so that adds more to the schedule, being in grad school for SLP, completing an externship…whew, a lot, but I do better with a busy schedule than a slower one.
Love your products! Lovely to be a mom too–congrats and keep having fun!
Data! Data! Data! And EI referrals have kept me busy this year!
Nicole, I absolutely love reading your blog! Your passion really shows through. And you have the most beautiful little family. I feel like paperwork takes over my life and I wish I had more time to be creative like you are 🙂
I’ve begun looking longingly at these organizers. I’ve been busy cleaning out my office and getting ready for construction + a move to a new room with a WINDOW. Thanks for doing this!
This school year has kept me super-busy! Thank goodness summer is just four weeks away! Thanks for the EC Giftcard giveaway!
My 2 little boys have kept me the most busy this year! But I wouldn’t have it any other way!
My two teenage daughters have kept me very busy this year. My oldest is a dancer, and my youngest is a soccer player. Happy first birthday to your daughter!

Pencils, Books, and Dirty Looks
Keeping up with printing all my TPT products keeps me busy. I feel like I’m always cutting or laminating something.
Congratulations on surviving year one!
Me? Life has kept me busy 🙂
Your party looks amazing!
I too had so many ideas I wanted to get to, unfortunately my health had its own agenda.
Oh no! I’m so sorry about your health. Hopefully, this summer will give you some rest and relaxation!
Firstly, Happy birthday to your beautiful girl!
I’ve had a small but complex caseload for a while now (who ALWAYS keep me busy!)… but, I’ve decided to take a huge leap and get a new job! So, so far this year, I’ve been organising everything I’m going to need to take with me to the new place, as well as handover for new therapist etc. Now long to go now, I start in a few weeks!!
Thanks so much! Sounds like you’ve been super busy this year!
I can’t wait for the day I’m not busy! I have 3 kids (9, 5 and 2), a farmer husband who works hard all year long, I am a full time school SLP, and I take photos on the side (not only family/children) but also take the newborn pics at a hospital-didn’t realize how busy that would be! 😉 Oh yeah, and we just moved!!! Ahhh! Can’t wait for summer so life can slow down a bit! Btw, your daughter’s bday party looked so cute!
Oh my! I cannot even imagine a day in your shoes! Hopefully, you can relax a littler over the summer!
Would love to see a post on how you use your EC!! I have one and haven’t figured out how to use it for work as a school based SLP.
That’s a great idea! Maybe a post will be coming your way!
This has been my first year back in the classroom after more than ten years away.
Lots has kept me busy as I transistion back to full time teaching. 🙂
Congratulations on your beautiful daughter’s birthday!! Lots of traveling between school and preschools this year with more evals than usual has kept me very busy!!
Coaching track and field at the high school has kept me very busy this spring!!!!
I goT involved in my district teacher’s union last year and was asked to be part of the contract negotiations team this year. That’s been keeping me pretty busy! Plus my 2.5 year old son and his boundless energy!!
Oh my, I can only imagine your schedule!
I love your blog! My new puppy and paperwork have kept me busy this year!
Thank you for sharing your life and your ideas with us! What a beautiful family you have. I love the butterfly theme you had for your daughter’s birthday. I have been busy juggling and home and work life this year. I am looking forward to a much needed summer vacation!
Awww thank you so much! I am not one to do a lot of crafts, but this one was fun! sounds like you’re busy too!
Life keeps me busy, but I must say I try not to glorify busy-ness and make plenty of time to relax and be.
I love the way you think, Annie! I need to do better at just “being,” instead of getting caught up in the busyness of life. Thanks for the reminder!
I’ve kept busy with the always changing schedules of my 3 children on top of working as a full time SLP.
I’ve been super busy this year with starting my TpT Store, blogging, and just trying to learn to be an empty nester! 🙂
Life!! Never enough time 🙂 Balancing act for sure.
Like you, Nicole I’ve welcome my sweet baby into the world this past year! He has kept me very busy… And feeling truly blessed. I also transitioned into working as a school slp and enjoy following your blog and utilizing your resources. Happy birthday to your cutie pie!
This year I have been very busy getting used to a year-round school calendar. I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed it!
I have also had a daughter this last year – in November – and she has kept me busy! Such a blessing from God to have these little girls in our care. I love your blog – it inspires me in many ways!
This year I have been busy trying to keep up with the usual IEP madness but with a twist. I found out at the beginning of the school year that I’m pregnant. She is our first and we are so excited! She’s due in 5 days! Keeping track of all the IEPS and doctor’s appointments has been challenging. I would love to have a useful planner to help with all this new mommy organization.
I’ve been busy quitting a horrible job, starting a new amazing one, and planning my wedding 🙂
I love Erin Condren! Thanks for the giveaway. Tons of evaluations this year are keeping me busy, along with being co-president of my children’s school PTA.
I have stayed very busy with work and my kids. Thanks to TPT the planning is done for me. 🙂
Paperwork!! Including MA billing, IEPs, RRs. Will it ever end!!!
You are so generous! Initial evaluations and RtI services have kept me really busy this year. I also am in 3 weddings this year which has made my life especially hectic! Stick with it, it’s almost summer vacation!
I only discovered your site a few months ago, but have already used so many ideas on it. Thanks so much for creating such great resources and sharing your ideas.
This was my first year as a graduate student studying to become an SLP! As challenging as it is, it makes me so glad to see how much knowledge I have gained after just two semesters. Only five semesters to go! Can’t wait to make a difference in the world!
School has kept me very busy this year! Tomorrow is my last class of the semester, I am super excited as I will be graduating in May.
Finding balance is hard!
My three kids, all 5 and under, along with a FT school job have kept me very busy and slightly crazy! I could use a dose of organization!
Work and grad school! Busy busy busy! Thank you for the giveaway 🙂
Isn’t it amazing how time flies? Your daughter is precious. I have two young kids of my own. I actually was able to take a day off this year so I could stay with my kiddos. This has been my passion! I have referenced your blog many times. Thank you for all the inspiration, ideas and your amazing talent in compiling materials (free and those I have purchased!:) and sharing with all of us. Thanks
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! Erin Condren is the best! I have been super busy this year with a new puppy, a full time job in an elementary school, and a new PRN position at a rehab facility. I have loved every minute though!
I love giveaways! Who doesn’t! I have also had my eye on a planner from Erin Condren. I have stayed busy this year with my TPT store, planning therapy for my 70 something students and my 12 year old son. But, it’s all worth it!
I have been busy learning many new techniques and strategies to support my diverse group of students.
