Last year on April 14th my life changed a little. Okay, a lot. Last week we celebrated Aislyn’s first birthday and I could not be happier.
I think she was pretty happy about it too.
Anyways, life this year has become a little more hectic. I have a list of products, blog posts and ideas I keep in my Erin Condren planner but have not even looked at, much less begun. Needless to say, I’m thankful for your patience this year. Despite the slow down, you have continued to support and encourage this little blog, as well as my family-I do love my readers! As a little thank you, I’m giving away a $50 Erin Condren gift certificate below. Perhaps it will keep your busy life a little more organized as well!
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

April 23, 2015 at 11:48 pmI’ve been kept very busy this year by working to establish some form of AAC for nearly all the students in the two ID classrooms I work in. Before I took this position, most of the students really had no means of effectively communicating their wants and needs.
Nicole Allison says
April 28, 2015 at 2:11 pmOh my, I sure hope your work appreciates all your work for our students-thank you!

April 23, 2015 at 11:53 pmWhat has kept me busy this year?–Well, a large caseload at my school, with many students on the Autism Spectrum, and planning therapy activities for them, progress testing them, and writing reports and IEPs. At home, I have a wonderful dog (sweet Sadie, a German Shepherd) that I love to walk and play with. My kids are older, so not so busy with their activities, but I still do all the laundry (I love my washer and dryer, I know it’s weird). AND, I’m taking a FANTASTIC Bible study class on Wednesday nights at my church. Took the overview class last fall, and just loved it, so I signed up to be a facilitator for the longer, more in-depth class, and my husband even started going to it with me, so we have good quality time together every week when we study and go to the class. Whew, no wonder I’m tired a lot!
Nicole Allison says
April 28, 2015 at 2:12 pmOh my, Judy- I know you are super busy! What’s the bible study you’re doing? It sounds fantastic!

April 24, 2015 at 12:13 amHmm, this year has been crazy and I can’t pinpoint why. Truly. I am union co-president, I just became a regional PD facilitator, still commute 45 minutes each way to work, but most of that is nothing new. Maybe I’m just having a quarter-career crisis.
Courtney says
April 24, 2015 at 12:14 amI started my CF this year and it has been such an incredible whirlwind. I am truly blessed to have ended up in such a supportive district, and my husband has been a wonderful cheerleader all along the way! Most people are excited to end the school year but I’m actually a little sad that it’ll be over soon because I have had such a great time learning the ropes as a “real SLP.” But, we’re also expecting our first baby this August so I’d be lying if I said I’m not a little excited about summer…
