Today I’m excited to be reviewing Speecharoo App: Funny Directions. I was able to meet it’s creator Syndy Margot at ASHA Schools and she is not only passionate about making speech language materials that work but she’s a lot of fun too! I can tell her students must have a blast when she’s teaching them.
This app is perfect for having some fun working on following directions and even targeting vocabulary because of the specific words the app uses.
When you open the app, you arrive at the home screen. From there, you have 4 different scenes to choose from and three different levels of directions in each scene. I love that each of these scenes are easily relatable to our kids-they love being able to choose their destination for the day!
Beach
Bedroom
Here is a sample of the directions. I have marked the three levels and the type of direction on the photo.
This fun app is a must-have for those students working on directions. Because the creators at Speecharoo are so sweet, they’re giving away one for free!

I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

That’s really cool. Will you notify is when the contest begins. The link is not active yet.
Thanks for letting me know! The link is up and working now 🙂
I love the interactive aspect to this! My speech kiddos LOVE to work on the iPad during speech.
This looks so cute! Thanks for posting the review! It’s nice to see apps in action before purchasing!
This app looks like a lot of fun for the kids!
This App looks really cute and engaging.
I’m so excited to start my CF and this looks so fun and motivating for my kiddos!
I don’t have any kiddos on my caseload, I don’t even HAVE a caseload (new grad student here!) but the SLP I worked with at my previous job used a similar app all the time and it was cool to see how she modified it for different kids 🙂
My students would really enjoy this app. It looks like such a fun and clever way to work on single and multi-step directions!
This app sounds amazing! I work with preschool through 4th graders this years, so I’m loving the wide range of ability levels that could benefit from this product. It looks fun and engaging for all ages of learners…wonderful!
