You might be seeing a little bit more of this face around here:
I had the amazing opportunity to present TWO presentations last week at our state convention OSLHA. Jenna and I presented on how we create and publish materials and Jenna, Desiree and I presented on how to expend your presence in your district (outside of your four walls).
And although I’m looking very pregnant these days, I had so much fun connecting with SLPs around Ohio and hope to do it again soon! So come to Ohio!
Another way you might see a little more of me is because I’ve joined the brand new SLP Blogger Live. This Periscope channel is a group made up of 10 SLP bloggers providing monthly periscope sessions giving tips and tricks (pretty much everything you need) to make your life easier as an SLP!
Make sure to log into Periscope and search and follow SLPbloggerLive to receive the notifications of when we are live! Remember, you have 24 hours to go back and watch a video before it is removed.
My monthly session will be on EVERY 3rd Sunday at 8:00 pm EST and boy do I have some things in store for you! My first one, on April 17th will be showing you how to turn pretty much any digital download into a no-print material on your iPad! Mark your calendars!
Our kick-off session will be this Thursday on St. Patrick’s Day. All ten of us will be tuning in that day to tell you why we are “lucky to be an SLP” and also to provide a secret green object. Name all the objects and you have a chance to win a $100 gift card or a huge bundle of products from us!
Make to sure follow SLPbloggerLive on Persicope to see all ten of these amazing bloggers!
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!

March 15, 2016 at 3:34 pmI logged into Periscope and typed SLPbloggerLive in the search bar, but came up empty. Any suggestions for what I need to do differently?

March 15, 2016 at 3:37 pmHmmm…I just tried and it worked. Maybe try all lowercase and make sure all the letters are together? If that doesn’t work, try typing @ in front. Please let me know if it’s still being difficult!

March 15, 2016 at 5:44 pmWhat is Periscope and how does someone do it?

March 15, 2016 at 5:50 pmHi Judy!
Periscope is an app you download on your phone. You can then “follow” certain people (or in this case SLPbloggersLive). Whenever we are making a video, you’ll get a notification and can watch that person live. You can then type in your phone to comment and ask questions while we are broadcasting and we answer back in the video. Here’s a more in-depth post on how to use it: http://www.trafficgenerationcafe.com/periscope-tutorial/
