This year I decided to have a little fun with my bulletin board outside of my therapy room. I geared it toward my younger grades and the theme was “All Aboard Emotions!” Each train cart has Thomas the Train on it with an emotion. Above it, there is a window where I took pictures of my kiddos doing that emotion and placing them inside the train cart. I sooo wish you could see my kids-they are adorable! However, for confidentially reasons, I needed to blur out the pictures.
You have all been such amazing readers (and buyers) during the month of September! To show my love, I created a template you can use to make this bulletin board! I hope you like it! Download it HERE for free when you like my page!
Here’s what I did:
1. First, make a simple bulletin board with grass and a sky. Where the green and blue come together, cut out a long strip of black paper along with little strips of black to make the tracks. Tape the tracks to where the green and blue meet. Then, choose your border.
2. Download my template and print 4 train carts all on different paper. Cut out the window to each train cart. Print the train and wheels on black. Laminate everything to protect it. Then, google pictures of Thomas the Train emotions and stick one on each train cart (you can find some HERE). I used “Happy,” “Sad,” “Mad,” and “Scared.” Just fyi…my kids (especially those with autism) LOVE Thomas the Train. He is a great character to use when teaching emotions.
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!
