Today I’m excited to review a product that are all the rage in my speech room. MOOWI speech puppets are small, hand-held puppets that aid in the teaching of speech sounds. I choose the adorable giraffe and my students quickly named him George.
My favorite part of “George” (and all their puppets) is his tongue. It’s made of flexible felt material so you can manipulate it to show how to make sounds such as that tricky /r/ sound.
Here a student is holding the tongue to the back to demonstrate her /g/ sound.
My students also like to use George and talk with their “good sounds.” For some reason, when they are using George to talk, they always remember their good sounds! He’s such a good communicator! 😉
You can find these adorable puppets on MOOWI’s website for around $15 per puppet.
MOOWI provided the giraffe puppet in exchange for a review. The thoughts and opinions are all mine!
