Sometimes schedules don’t always fit into nice little boxes, do they? Sometimes, you might just need to schedule a student working on articulation together with a student working on language. The dreaded MIXED GROUPS. DUN…DUN…DUNNNN…
Since I’ve had so many of these difficult mixed groups, I’ve started making a new product line geared to making our lives a little easier. I even named a custom category in my TPT store “Mixed Groups.”
The newest series to be added to it are these Nonfiction Texts (Winter Edition).
Each passage is written 6 different ways, focusing on a specific sound or group of sounds
•/r/ and /r/ blends
•/l/ and /l/ blends
•/k/ and /g/
•/s/, /z/ and /s/ blends
•/sh/, /ch/, and /j/
•/th/
There are 8 nonfiction texts included in the winter edition.
Here’s what it looks like. This is a passage on polar bears targeting /r/ and /r/ blends. You can download this passage (for free!) when you click “PREVIEW” on TPT.
And, I’m trying something new for those of you planners (like me). I listed a growing bundle for this new product to save you money. This means that not all of the packs are currently in the bundle, but they will be added. The Winter Texts are currently in the pack, the Spring/Summer Texts will be added by February 7th and the Fall Texts will be added by April 24th.
I hope these products make your life a little easier! I’ve loved whipping out one product to work on with several students! And…for those of you who don’t like printing, simply download and open these texts on your iPad for the ultimate no-prep option!
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
I'd love for you to join my newsletter family so that I can start sending weekly encouragement as well as access to an entire library of free resources like this Student Self-Progress Report Sheet!
